From working alongside my father in the construction industry at just 15 years old to building my career in the carpentry industry, I gained firsthand experience in how projects should be managed from start to finish. This foundation gave me a deep understanding of industry operations, workforce needs, and the importance of skilled labour.

Since transitioning into the labour hire industry in 2015, I have spent over a decade honing my expertise in talent acquisition, workforce management, and client relations. My passion lies in connecting the right people with the right opportunities, ensuring businesses thrive with skilled and reliable workers. Committed to building strong professional relationships, I take pride in delivering tailored workforce solutions that drive success for both employers and job seekers.

Diarmaid McMillan

After completing my university education, I initially aimed to build a career in the legal industry. However, the allure of life in Australia redirected my path. Upon my arrival, I embarked on a journey in the construction sector, starting with a labour hire company. This experience allowed me to gain hands-on knowledge across various facets of the industry as I transitioned from role to role.

I eventually secured a full-time position as a Contracts Administrator with a civil construction company, where I honed my skills in project management and contract negotiation. Although I valued my time there, I felt compelled to explore the labour hire side of the industry. Embracing this opportunity, I joined a labour hire agency and spent seven rewarding years gaining extensive insights into diverse roles and job functions.

In 2025, I decided to follow my entrepreneurial aspirations by launching my own business. As the Managing Director of GD Recruitment, I take immense pride in delivering high-quality workforce solutions and exceptional customer service to both our clients and staff. My commitment to excellence drives me to foster strong relationships and ensure that our team meets the evolving needs of the industry.
